Dr. Rajendra JAGDALE, Director General of Science & Technology Park, University of Pune, was awarded the French civilian honour – Knight of the Order of Academic Palms (Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Palmes académiques) by Mr. François PUJOLAS, Consul General of France in Bombay on the eve of the French National Day.

Dr. JAGDALE is an active participant in promoting Indo-French co-operation in the fields of Science, Technology, Innovation and Competitive clusters. In this context the Science & Technology Park of Pune University has signed a first-of-its-kind co-operation agreement with “Fondation Sophia Antipolis” situated in Nice, South of France. Besides promoting bilateral relations in the concerned domains, the agreement also provides for the exchange of personnel between the two parks, the creation of a summer school (or winter), the organization of a seminar on management and innovation including the subject of intellectual property, technology transfer, financing of young innovative companies.
